Coton Cueman but not Dan got the new season off to a flyer as they felled the not so Mighty Oak 11 - 4. A great result for the Henry Street cueists as they out potted the league favourites with consummate ease. Sam Baginskis was the man in the pot zone with 3 wins including a break dish, he was ably assisted by Steve Cooper & Rod Brown who also notched 3 wins apiece. The Oak's Glenn Dunn won both his frames including a reverse dish. Newdigate Miners found themselves in the winners enclosure with a terrific 10 - 5 victory over Miners Loyals. Lee Judson and Barry Milnes on cue for the Newdigate while Ant Makin-McGuffie starred for the Miners. Ryan Dolman was the hero for Lucky Break as he reverse dished the final frame in their match with the unlucky Coton Gloves, a great night of pool finished off in some style by Mr D. Last but certainly not least Team Gurkha Corner won a proper topsy turvy match with Coton Sports 8 -7. Team GC took a 4 - 1 lead in the break off only to lose the middle bit 5 - 0 they then took the final third 4 - 1 in an epic night of pool. Coton Sports Shaun Johnstone with an excellent counter clearance after Al Jones missed the black for a break dish.
